Password Generator - Strong Random Passwords

—

Create strong, random passwords with our Password Generator. Choose your length and which character sets to include — uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols — then generate instantly.

The generator uses the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues), a cryptographically secure random source available in every modern browser. Unlike Math.random()-based generators, its output is suitable for security use. Everything runs locally: no password is ever transmitted or stored.

For important accounts use at least 16 characters. Length beats complexity: a long random password is far stronger than a short one with special characters. Generate a unique password for every account and store them in a password manager — reuse is the biggest real-world security risk. Click any generated password to copy it to your clipboard.

Formel
crypto.getRandomValues() over the selected character sets; entropy ≈ length × log₂(charset size)

FAQ

What makes a password strong?
Length and randomness. Every added character multiplies the search space; a 16-character random password with all character sets has about 100 bits of entropy — practically uncrackable by brute force.
How long should my password be?
Use at least 16 characters for important accounts, and 12 as an absolute minimum. Longer is always better — length matters far more than complexity rules.
Are these passwords generated securely?
Yes. Passwords are generated with the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues) — a cryptographically secure random source — entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored.
Should I use a password manager?
Yes. Generate a unique random password for every account and let a password manager remember them. Reusing passwords is the single biggest account security risk.
